RULES
This is a United States Track & Field (USATF) certified course so there are some rules that we need to follow. Most are very basic (no pushing/shoving), but elite athletes should refer to the USATF website for a breakdown of the event rules.

TRAINING RUNS
We will begin training runs starting in September. Stay tuned for more information!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I have to be fast?
Nope. We have people of all ages and abilities. Yes there are very fast people, but all that we require is that you are committed to living a healthy life and ready to push yourself and others. If you are new to working out or just returning, come on out and talk with the elite athletes. The event is for everyone to exercise, challenge themselves and others, AND have fun.

What do I need to bring?
Just your running shoes, confirmation of registration (or money for registration) and prepare to have a great morning. Note: Headphones are not allowed on the run course!!!! So leave your iPod at home.

How can I prepare?
Join your local health club or running club. The race is a mile so it does take some preparation. We will be offering training runs prior to the race – check the event website for dates and times.

What is the refund policy?
Similar to a concert, there are no refunds. Also note, that event dates and course changes may happen and are usually beyond the control of the event producers, and will not be cause for a refund. If an event is postponed, the entries will be forwarded to the new event date.

VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are integral and crucial elements in making our events viable. Volunteer tasks include, among others: providing aid, water and food, keeping runners on course, cheering runners on and keeping spirits up. They are also there to have fun and enjoy the experience of the race from a different perspective. And most importantly, they make the race safer for everyone involved!

You’ve probably seen and thanked many volunteers at past events, but what better way to say thanks and give back than to be a volunteer yourself? After your experience, you will appreciate the volunteers at future events that much more!

In exchange you’ll get a goody bag and refreshments but, more importantly, you will be rewarded with the pride in knowing you helped to make the event happen, and that many runners finished because of the help you offered.

If you would like to volunteer or need more information, please contact us at 310.821.7898 or send an email to info@genericevents.com!
